We all have a part of ourselves that isn't always socially acceptable to express. What I like most about Halloween, or any costume party for that matter, is that, for the most part no matter how ridiculous, dark, sexual, funny or inappropriate it is your costume is good to go. These sort of situations are social levelers, anything is acceptable. And what's great about this is, that you're sometimes expressing something that comes from within, and if not, you're being silly and letting loose, and being in an environment where it's ok to do either I find is a very special scenario. Because nowadays, we're very restricted, we follow trends, both fashion and social. There is little room to thoroughly express any ridiculous idiosyncrasy that you might have, but costume parties are the perfect chance for that. And the best part is, that no matter what the costume is, it's usually well received.
