Strangely enough in the last week I've found out about some tragic occurrences to a couple people in my life. Each time I heard about their respective stories I found myself in shock and concerned for a long time before I contacted someone who knew in more detail what actually happened. Tragedy finds all of us at some point or another, but what I'm taking the time to note today is that, at least in each of the cases I'm speaking about, things can be worse. It's horrible to hear awful things happening to the ones you love, but somehow things end up much better then the could have ended up. And as much you wish these things never happen, sometimes a close but not worst case scenario is in fact a blessing.
