Andy Warhol once said, 'the idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting.' I couldn't sleep last night because I was too excited about something that was happening today. And although I spent most of the day completely exhausted, it was fine because I was so satisfied with fulfilling that anticipation. What I find most interesting about anticipation is that it instills the necessity for patience. And those butterflies that you feel in your stomach before something exciting is about to happen, usually feel good. I think that's the universes way of telling you that waiting, patience, and not having everything unveil itself right away should be savoured. Those butterflies, I think, are a false sense of satisfaction that helps you savour that moment of waiting. And for someone who has a lack of patience, I think it's a pleasant reminder.
