Day 117 - non-akward silences

I once read "The best kind of friend is one with whom you can sit on a bench saying nothing and when you get up and go, you feel you have had the best conversation of your life" Being able to be silent with friends is definitely a blessing. It shows a level of comfort that is both freeing and soothing. You're rarely quiet amongst people in social situations, there is always an obligation to speak, engage and be on in some way or another. In circumstances where you're with one or more friends, and you are quiet, relaxed and 'just being', is an indication of a sincere friendship. You are able to be your quietest and most introverted in a social circumstance, and that is very powerful I think.
