I hate disappointing friends and I hate flaking out on plans, both of which I did today. Bringing the bad news to people I have a bit of a hard time doing, but luckily there are friends out there that know it's not a personal thing, but are understanding that there are in fact unfortunate circumstances. It's hard not to take it personally, because you want to believe your friends like your company. And I'd like to believe the majority of disappointments are for legitimate reasons. The other percentage should be inconsequential anyway. And the fact of the matter is, it's probably just as hard to disappoint someone, as it is to be disappointed. So thank you to those friends of mine who understand that.
