Day 99 - honest citizens

My friend lost her wallet on a bus the other day with a fair bit of cash in savings, (it's always a worst case scenario in these circumstances isn't it?). So she, being pretty upset, assumed the money at least was lost and proceeded to cancel credit cards and etc., as most of us would. I got a message from her this morning saying that it was returned, with all money in tact. This made me so happy, for one, that the stress was elevated for her, and secondly, that it goes to show there are honest people out there in this world. A common assumption is that people really don't care about each other, and every man is for himself. But sometimes, some miracle happens where someone of good, honourable and virtuous character comes along and proves you wrong. So thank you for the person who delivered the wallet back, and thank you to the rest of you who realise that sometimes, what you may gain out of someone's misfortune, may not be worth it.
