You could be at a dinner table, in class/ meeting or even at a social event, and there's one person, that amongst the commotion, busy-ness or distracting surroundings, locks eyes with you and cracks a sincere smile. Being around new borns a lot, you realise that certain gestures are collective. A baby will smile at you when it's happy, it doesn't know its communicating that; it's instinctual. It's a translation of a feeling. So from across the room or within an environment that isn't necessarily generating those feelings, to lock eyes with someone and smile is a very powerful thing. A person looks at you, and feels happy. Simply put, but probably a great honour when you think about it. And it's definitely something to be thankful for.
