Day 210 - people who always call

There's a custom in my culture commemorates the name that was given to you. Today was my special day, and each year there are certain relatives and friends of family that always call. I usually don't like answering the phone to chitchat from distant relatives or family friends, mostly because the conversation is superficial. But today, since I had to answer the phone, it made me realise that the conversation might be superficial, the act of calling shows concern. These people that call each year, like clockwork, remember the obscure day that I celebrate and think of me. And although the conversation may not be much, it's like a small gift, it's the though that counts. So thank you for that reminder.
